Parker wins Two-Day on Nickajack

May 6, 2023 Haletown, TN., North Georgia Division 125 Anglers fished on Nickajack launched from Marion County Park located in Haletown, TN. Rickey Parker AKA Blade of Adairsville, GA had a big first day of the event with a limit of 5 bass weighing 20.24 pounds. On day two Parker squeaked the win with 5 bass weighing 8.11 pounds for a tournament total of 28.35. For the win, Parker pocketed $1360.00

In second place was Jonathon Farmer of Jasper, GA brought in 15.09 with 5 bass on day one, and on day two brought in one less (4) than the limit of 9.51 pounds. This gave Farmer a total of 24.60 pounds, good enough for a check for $848.00. Jonathon also wrapped his season as the North Georgia Angler of the Year. His division points stand at 1191 out of a possible 1200 points. He remained consistent throughout the 2023 season with four-second places finishes on Nottley, Carters, Allatoona, and Nickajack.

In third place was  Barry Adcock with 5 fish on day one weighing 16.03 and the largest was 8.80 pounds and was the biggest bass of the event. On day two Adcock brought in three fish weighing 7.20 pounds for a tournament total of 23.23. Barry took home $314.00, $300 for big bass, and took second place overall in the division point standings with 1176 points.

The next tournament in this division will take place on 09/23/2023 launching fromGalts Ferry. This will be the first event for the North Georgia Division 125 2024 season.

Director Alex Pearce and Assistant Director Dan Hunter run a great division. 

Anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US will be invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship next October at Lake Hartwell.
