ABA to Launch New Team Series for 2024 Season

Athens,AL September 29, 2023,  American Bass Anglers, Inc. announces the formation of the ABA Team Series. The new team series for 2024 is a team format designed with a focus on grassroots weekend bass anglers with low entry fees, a strong 80% at the ramp payout, a close-to-home event, and a year-end championship.

Team Series events will launch in early 2024, with events scheduled in areas all over the eastern US. Each division will offer six (6) events in 2024, five (5) qualifying events, and one (1) divisional championship. Each event will have a $150 entry fee which includes big bass.

Teams accrue points from each event they compete in. The National standing will be based on a team’s best four divisional qualifying events plus the points from their divisional championship. If a team has not-so-great qualifying events, they can fish another qualifying event to increase their points for their best four divisional qualifying events.

The top teams by national points will be invited to compete in the Team Series National Championship that will be held in the late spring of 2025. The location is not yet determined however, the site will be as centrally located as possible.

Local divisions are now forming and each of these local divisions will be run by experienced local ABA tournament directors. These local directors’ schedules will be coming out soon and will be available online. More information, Rules, and division schedules will be available online soon at AmericanBassAnglers.com/Team
