Andy Lake wins on Clarks Hill

On February 3, 2024, in McCormick, SC, the American Fishing Tour Division 25 – South Carolina Northwest tournament concluded with Andy Lake of Batesburg, SC, emerging victorious. Hosted at the Dorn Fishing Facility, the event saw 34 anglers compete under challenging conditions, with only six managing to catch the limit. Andy Lake stood out by weighing in four fish totaling 21.41 pounds, including a notable 7.38-pound largemouth bass, earning him the first-place prize of $738 and an additional $180 from the first-place option pot, totaling $918 in winnings.

Blake Campbell from Anderson, SC, secured second place with a five-fish limit weighing 18.50 pounds, highlighted by a 4.68-pound catch. Campbell received $464 for second place and an extra $120 from the second-place option pot, bringing his total earnings to $584.

Evan Slentz of Abbeville, SC, and CAYMAS Boat Owner, claimed third place with a total weight of 12.89 pounds across five fish, receiving $197 in prize money.

Paul Ham of West Columbia, SC, captured fourth place with a limit weighing 10.95 pounds, earning $151.

Robert Miller of Savannah, GA, finished fifth with a total of 10.68 pounds, including a 2.47-pound fish, for a prize of $115.

Andy Lake also won the Biggest Bass award with his 7.38-pound catch, adding another $170 to his winnings.

The next tournament for Division 25 will be held at Lake Hartwell on February 18, 2024, launching from the Gum Branch Tournament Facility in Hartwell, GA.
