Tim Millner Wins at Clinton Lake

April 6, 2024 Location: Clinton, IL. Tim Millner of Chicago, Illinois, secured a victory at the Clinton Lake American Fishing Tour (IL 39) tournament. Launching from Clinton Lake Marina, Millner returned with a three-fish limit weighing a total of 12.60 pounds, averaging over four pounds per fish. He earned a prize of $432.00 for his first-place finish.

The competition took place on a challenging day with cold, windy conditions, yet sunny skies prevailed. The event saw fifteen anglers contend for the top spots under high fishing pressure, exacerbated by recent adverse weather conditions, including snow and rain. Despite the tough conditions, three participants managed to catch limits of fish measuring 16 inches or more.

Michael Rassmussen claimed the Big Bass award with a 5.48-pound catch, placing fourth overall. Austin Moore achieved second place with a three-fish total of 10.19 pounds, receiving $223.00 in prize money. Keith Ringger from Hudson, Illinois, took third place with a catch totaling 9.80 pounds.

The next event in this division is scheduled for April 20 at Lake Springfield, IL, with the launch from the Lindsey boat ramp.
