Anglers from across the region converged at the lake, each aiming for cash prizes and crucial divisional and national ranking points.

April 13, 2024: Jason Law Claims Victory Despite Challenging Conditions

On April 13, 2024, Law faced challenging conditions marked by bluebird skies, muddy water, and brisk winds. Undeterred by these obstacles, Law demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, ultimately clinching victory.

Law’s impressive total catch of 14.37 pounds placed him at the top of the leaderboard, earning him first place and a cash prize totaling $432.

Brett Mathis from Warwick, Georgia, secured second place with a total weight of 11.68 pounds from four fish.

Lane Worsham from Baconton, Georgia, had 6.73-pounder, earning him third place with a total weight of 10.98 pounds.

Despite the chilly morning conditions that gradually warmed up with brisk winds, Law’s exceptional performance stood out amidst the competition.

Continuing his winning streak on April 14, 2024, Law faced similar conditions as the previous day.

With a total catch of 8.66 pounds from four fish, Law secured first place, earning another cash prize totaling $337.

Dwayne Smith from Americus, Georgia, claimed second place with a total weight of 7.92 pounds from three fish, also securing the “big fish” award with a notable catch weighing 4.93 pounds.

Derreck Burnam from Byromville, Georgia, secured third place with a total weight of 6.82 pounds from four fish.

Despite comfortable morning conditions that warmed up quickly with minimal wind, recent rainfall made bed fishing challenging, resulting in limited catches.
