Wilson Barrow, Jr Takes the Win on the Tensaw River

October 26, 2024, Mobile, AL: Wilson Barrow, Jr of Spanish Fort, Alabama, won the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament presented on October 26, 2024, by American Bass Anglers. 

Running out of Cliff’s Landing Boat Launch near Bay Minette, AL, Walters brought back five with a total weight of 8.85 pounds, anchored by a 2.69 pound kicker.  For the victory, Barrow took home a check for $313 and another $45 for Big Bass.

 Second place was claimed by Dennis Prickett of Mobile, AL, with five fish that locked in the scales at 6.48 pounds.  For his efforts, Prickett took home $128 in prize money.

Anglers and fishing enthusiasts can look forward to the next exciting competition in this division, scheduled for November 16,2024 launching from Cliff’s Landing new Bay Minette, AL. These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA AFT National Championship tournament to be held in October 2025 on Lake Eufaula.

These tournaments are crucial for anglers as they accumulate points toward the coveted Divisional Angler of the Year title. Points champions from each division will compete in the American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round, held at the AFT Championship. Additionally, the top 500 anglers from all divisions will qualify for the three-day ABA AFT National Championship, taking place next October on Lake Eufaula.
