Top 150 Solo Events at Lake of the Pines and Lake Guntersville

It’s time to step up to the challenge of the 2025 American Bass Anglers Top 150 Solo Series! With upcoming stops at Lake of the Pines, Texas (Feb. 28 – Mar. 1, 2025) and Lake Guntersville, Alabama (Mar. 7 – 8, 2025), these tournaments are your opportunity to showcase your solo angling skills against top competition. Plus, strong performances in the series can earn you a spot in the Ultimate Bass Championship if qualified, where the best of the best battle for national recognition and huge cash payout.

Lake of the Pines – February 28 & March 1, 2025 Register

Lake of the Pines, nestled in northeast Texas, is a hidden gem among Texas fisheries. Known for its healthy population of largemouth bass, this lake features a mix of standing timber, creek channels, submerged vegetation, and rocky points, offering diverse fishing opportunities. Historically, early spring is prime time for big bass, with pre-spawn patterns dominating the bite. Expect crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and flipping techniques to play a major role as fish move shallow ahead of the spawn.

This will be the first event of the 2025 Top 150 Solo Series in Texas, setting the stage for anglers looking to get an early lead in the season standings.

Lake Guntersville – March 7 & 8, 2025 – Register

One of the most legendary bass fisheries in the country, Lake Guntersville in northern Alabama has a rich history of producing giant bass. This famed Tennessee River reservoir, spanning over 69,000 acres, is known for its abundant hydrilla and milfoil, which create a prime habitat for largemouth bass.

March is a peak time on Guntersville, with big bass aggressively feeding before the spawn. Anglers can expect success using lipless crankbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, and soft plastics, especially around grass lines, bridges, and shell bars. With the tournament launching out of Goose Pond in Scottsboro, competitors will have access to some of the lake’s most productive fishing areas.

A strong performance at Guntersville or Lake of the Pines could set the tone for the rest of the season and get anglers one step closer to qualifying for the Ultimate Bass Championship.
