Lunenburg, Massachusetts – June 14, 2025. Sheron K. Brown of Leominster, Massachusetts claimed victory at the American Fishing Tour (AFT) Division 5 tournament held on Lake Shirley in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. The event drew a competitive field of seasoned anglers, all vying for cash prizes and valuable points toward divisional and national standings.
Brown secured the win with a strong five-bass limit weighing 15.47 pounds. Well-known on the local tournament scene for his consistent top finishes, Brown took home the first-place prize of $432 for his efforts.
Finishing in second place was Butch Magurn, who brought in a five-fish limit totaling 15.10 pounds, earning him $223.
Gerard Pinto rounded out the top three with 14.80 pounds. Pinto also landed the event’s Big Bass—a personal best 6.35-pound largemouth—which earned him an additional $300 and marked a memorable milestone in his angling career.
The next Division 5 event will take place on July 19, 2025, at Buffumville Lake in Charlton, Massachusetts. Directors Dan and Jim are encouraged by the strong turnout and energy of the 2025 season and look forward to another great event.
