Lowery Wins Divisional Professional League on Lake Sinclair

ATHENS, Ala- David Lowery won the 2025 American Bass Anglers Professional League, Presented by Caymas Boats, Georgia Division 8 tournament, held June 21ST, 2025 on Lake Sinclair.

Running out of Dennis Station Ramp in Eatonton, GA the Milledgeville, GA angler caught five bass weighing 17.97 pounds. For the Pro Division victory, Lowery took home $2450 cash for his win.

“I caught every fish on a frog using a Kissel Krafts frog rod. I was fishing from Little River down to the dam targeting bream beds. “Lowery said.

Second place for the Pros, Johnny Smith of Albany, GA landed a 5-bass limit weighing 16.63 pounds. He earned $1200 for his catch.

“I caught my fish on a frog and a buzzbait up Rooty Creek. I lost a 4-pounder that would have helped. “Smith said.

Gordon “Callaway” Robinson of Conyers, GA took the third spot for the Pros. He landed a 5-bass limit going 13.59 pounds. He earned $900 for the effort.

“I caught my fish on a Zoom Bait Trick Worm targeting brush. “Robinson said.

The big bass award of the Pros went to Jamie Fountain of East Dublin, GA for a 5.46 -pound lunker. Fountain earned $280 for that fish.

“I caught that big bass about 9:00AM on a topwater bait and that was about the last of it for me today.”Fountain said.

Finishing fourth, James Murphy of Columbus, GA landed 5-bass weighing 13.38 pounds. Grant Kelly of Milledgeville, GA rounded out the top five Pros landed a 5-bass limit weighing 12.97 pounds.

At the end of the season, the best anglers from across the nation advance the 2025 Ray Scott Championship to be held in April, 2026.
