American Bass Anglers Team Championship Coming to Florence, Alabama and Pickwick Lake in 2026 

Florence, AL.  American Bass Anglers (ABA) is excited to announce that the 2026 ABA Team Series National Championship will take place in Florence, Alabama, on the renowned Pickwick Lake from April 11 to 17, 2026. 

This event will bring together the top teams from across the tour, along with their families and fans, for a week of competitive bass fishing. Known for its excellent fisheries and vibrant local culture, Pickwick Lake and Florence have a strong reputation as a prime destination for anglers. 

“Pickwick Lake is one of the crown jewels of bass fishing, and Florence is a fantastic host community,” said Morris Sheehan, President of American Bass Anglers. “We are thrilled to bring our anglers, their families, for a fun week of competition.” 

The week-long event will kick off with official practice starting April 11, followed by the championship competition on April 16 and 17. Teams will compete on Pickwick Lake for cash prizes, national recognition, and championship titles. 

In addition to the competition, the ABA Team Championship will have a great economic impact on Florence and Lauderdale County by bringing in visitors to hotels, restaurants, and local businesses from all over the country. The event will also showcase the community’s tourism attractions.

The Florence-Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the event and work alongside ABA to provide a smooth experience for anglers and fans. 

“This event is not just about world-class bass fishing; it’s about highlighting the best of Florence and Pickwick Lake,” said Brody Gravitt of  Florence-Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau  “We are happy to welcome American Bass Anglers back and look forward to the excitement this championship will bring.”
