May 3, 2026 – Alabama River. Michael Hill of Millbrook, Alabama, won the American Fishing Tour District 24 two-day tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Hill brought back a two-day total that weighed 28.93 pounds. For the victory, Hill took home $956.
Second place went to Kenny Turner with a total weight of 26.70 pounds. Turner took home $536 in prize money.
Third place went to Brian Stephens with a total catch of 24.71 pounds, earning him $172.
Tommy Pegues III took home $85 for Big Bass on day one with a 5.32-pounder. Big Bass on day two was a 4.61-pounder that earned Michael Hill an additional $85.
Day 1 was held on Jordan Lake, launching from the State Ramp near Wetumpka, Alabama. Day 2 was held on the Alabama River, launching from Cooters Pond Park near Prattville, Alabama.

This two-day tournament ends the regular season for Division 24.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA AFT National Championship tournament to be held October 3-9, 2026, on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.
