On March 18, 2023, North Georgia Division 125Â anglers launched on Lake Allatoona from Galts Ferry near Acworth, GA,. Of the participants, 18 brought back five-fish limits to the scales. However, it was Chase Williams, hailing from Canton, GA, who emerged victorious with a total weight of 14.00 pounds. Williams attributed his win to the use of shallow running baits. Williams was awarded $600 in prize money.
Coming in second place was Jonathan Farmer, whose five fish totaled 11.63. Farmer earned a prize of $360 for his efforts. Michael Dixon took third place with a total weight of 11.56, also with five fish, and received a prize of $123.
Notably, Williams also caught the biggest bass of the tournament, which weighed in at 3.75 and earned him an additional $120 in prize money.
