April 16, 2023, Hartwell, GA. South Carolina anglers had a rainy start to a day of fishing. Jayme Rampey of Liberty, SC won the American Fishing Tour Division 25- South Carolina Northwest tournament held April 16, 2023, on Lake Hartwell with five bass that weighed 21.96 lb.
Running out of Green Pond Landing near Anderson, SC. Rampey’s bag was anchored by a 6.13lb. Big Bass. For the victory, Jayme took home a nice first-place plaque and $735 cash. He also took down the first-place option pot for another $204 and took home the Big Fish plaque with a $170 pot, bringing his total winnings to $1109.

Second place was claimed by Parker Guy of Ocilla, GA with a five-fish limit of bass totaling 16.82lb. For his efforts, Parker took home the second-place plaque and $461 in prize money. He also hooked the second-place option pot for an additional $136. His total payout on the day was $597 cash.

Troy Morrow of Eastanollee, GA took the third place position with five good fish and a total weight of 16.49lb. and took home $195 in cash.

The fourth place position was filled by Tim Kelley of Irmo, SC with a five-fish limit that scaled out at 15.68 lb. that included a 4.45lb anchor spotted bass. That bag was good enough for $144 in cash.
Our fifth place was taken by Tallis Morrison, who sacked a five-fish limit that weighed 15.66lb. that contained a 3.46 kicker. He took home $108 cash for his efforts.
Our last paid position and sixth place was taken by Bradley Day of Anderson, SC. He weighed in a solid five-fish sack of 13.72lb and took home $72 cash.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Jayme Rampey of Liberty, SC. His fish locked in the scales at 6.13 lb. earning him a plaque and $170 cash.

The next tournament in this division will be the two-day divisional championship, which will take place at R. B. Russell on May 6-7, 2023 launching from the Hwy. 72 ramp in Elberton, Ga.
