Bocash Wins on Mansfield Hollow

Mansfield Center, CT – On May 20, 2023, American Fishing Tour Connecticut anglers set out from the state ramp on Mansfield Hollow for the Division 6 tournament. Seven of the angler managed to bring back five-fish limits to the scales. However, when the scales closed, it was Gordon Bocash from Woodstock, CT who emerged as the victor with a total weight of 15.19 lbs. Bocash attributed his success to his effective use of a spinnerbait to navigate the challenging weeds. For his remarkable win, Bocash received a well-deserved prize of $401.

Securing second place was Dean Diviesti, who showcased his angling prowess by presenting five fish with a combined weight of 13.92 lbs. Diviesti revealed that he relied on a combination of a chatterbait and swim jig to entice bites in shallow grassy areas, covering a significant amount of water in the process. His outstanding performance earned him a prize of $187.

The highlight of the tournament was the capture of the Biggest Bass, which fell into the hands of Ernest Lally. Lally’s impressive fish tipped the scales at 6.55 lbs.
