Wilson Barrow Jr Wins on Tensaw River

Mobile, AL – Wilson Barrow Jr, hailing from Spanish Fort, Alabama, emerged as the champion of the American Fishing Tour Division 41 tournament held on September 16, 2023, presented by American Bass Anglers. Launching from Cliff’s Landing Boat Launch near Bay Minette, AL, Barrow returned with a total of five fish, weighing in at 11.81 pounds, anchored by a notable 4.31-pound kicker. 

Dennis Prickett secured the second position with five fish that collectively weighed 8.97 pounds. 

The top five finishers in the tournament were as follows:

  1. Wilson Barrow Jr – 11.81 pounds
  2. Dennis Prickett – 8.97 pounds
  3. Barry Woodward – 7.36 pounds
  4. Rickie Bonner – 3.88 pounds
  5. Michael White – 3.82 pounds

These participating anglers accumulate valuable points that contribute towards the divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will go on to compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. Additionally, the top 500 anglers from various divisions will earn the privilege to participate in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

Competing in these tournaments allows anglers to accumulate valuable points toward the coveted title of Divisional Angler of the Year. The points champion from each division will have the opportunity to compete in the 2024 American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the 2024 AFT Championship. Furthermore, the top 500 anglers from different divisions will earn the privilege of participating in the prestigious three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
