Hensiek  Wins on the Arkansas River

Date: October 28, 2023 Location: Tar Camp, Arkansas River. Despite the challenges presented by minimal river flow and recent heavy rains, the Arkansas River has proven to be a bountiful location for bass fishing. This season’s second stop at Tar Camp showcased the river’s healthy and abundant fish population.

While the majority of participants secured commendable catches, it was Mr. Mark Hensiek who distinguished himself by landing a total weight of 14.37 lbs, placing him firmly in first position. Notably, he also caught the event’s heaviest bass, weighing in at 4.88 lbs. He attributed his success to the use of a buzzbait.

Mr. Chuck Ellis, not far behind, secured second place with a total catch weighing 12.57 lbs, primarily using a bladed jig. The third spot was claimed by Mr. Don Armbrust with a catch of 12 lbs, employing crankbaits as his tool of choice.
