Beau Browning Takes Win on Mitchell

On November 11, 2023, at Lake Mitchell near Clanton, Alabama,  anglers competed in challenging weather conditions. Amidst cold and rainy weather, the Division 75 anglers launched from Higgins Ferry ramp. The event culminated in a tight competition where 25 out of 31 anglers successfully caught five-fish limits.

Beau Browning, of Hot Springs, AR brought in the largest five-fish limit totaling 14.91 pounds and earned $695.

Nick Dumke, a fellow angler from the University of Montevallo fishing team, claimed the second spot with a comparable haul of 14.83 pounds, earning a prize of $434.00.

The third position was taken by Clint Nail, whose catch weighed in at 13.61 pounds, netting him $167.00 in prize money.

The fourth place was awarded to Colton Johnson, whose five-fish limit totaled 12.99 pounds, bringing him a prize of $130.00.

Closely following was Easton Fothergill, also from the University of Montevallo team, with a total weight of 12.88 pounds, earning $94.00.

A notable achievement was made by Colton Johnson, who caught the Biggest Bass of the tournament, weighing 3.69 pounds and earning him an additional $310.00.

The next event in this division is scheduled for December 9, 2023, at Logan Martin Lake, launching from Town and Country near Cropwell, Alabama.
