Amin Jaber Wins on Lake Russell

Elberton, GA – November 18, 2023

South Carolina and Georgia bass anglers launched from the Highway 72 ramp between Elberton, GA, and Calhoun Falls, SC, for the Division 25 South Carolina Northwest Tournament on Lake Russell. When the scales closed, Amin Jaber from Duncan, SC emerged the winner, clinching the top spot with a remarkable five-bass limit that tipped the scales at 15.96 pounds. His impressive haul included a 4.49-pound largemouth, anchoring his victory and earning him a well-deserved first-place finish.

For his outstanding performance, Jaber not only took home a plaque but also pocketed $600 in cash. Additionally, he secured $144 in prize money from the first-place option pot, bringing his total earnings to an impressive $744. A job well done, Amin!

Securing the second spot among the competitors was Greg Glouse from Easley, SC. Glouse showcased his angling skills by landing five fish with a combined weight of 14.42 pounds, including a 3.30-pound spotted bass. His efforts earned him a plaque, a cash prize of $360, and an extra $96 from the second-place option pot.

Taking the third spot was Brad Thompson of Little Mountain, SC, who weighed in five fish totaling 13.46 pounds. Thompson’s impressive performance earned him $123 in cash.

Colton Wilson of Hartwell, GA, secured the fourth spot with a five-fish bag that weighed 11.76 pounds, and his catch earned him $94 in prize money.

Amin Jaber also claimed the title of the tournament’s Biggest Bass, landing a spectacular largemouth that tipped the scales at 4.48 pounds. For this feat, Jaber was awarded $120 in prize money and an additional plaque, adding to his impressive day on the water.
