In a compelling display of angling prowess, Austin Nelson of Prattville, Alabama, emerged triumphant in the American Fishing Tour Division 24 tournament, proudly presented by American Bass Anglers, on the renowned Alabama River. The tournament, based at Cooters Pond Park near Prattville, witnessed Nelson’s remarkable performance as he presented a limit of five fish that collectively weighed in at an impressive 11.55 pounds. For his outstanding victory, Nelson was awarded a prize of $313.
Michael Hill Secures Second Place and Big Bass
Following closely behind in second place was Michael Hill, who showcased his angling skills by securing five fish with a total weight of 11.42 pounds. Hill’s commendable effort earned him a well-deserved prize of $128. Notably, he also achieved the distinction of catching the Big Bass of the tournament, a remarkable fish weighing 4.22 pounds, which added an extra $45 to his winnings.
