Bradley Day Wins at Hartwell

On February 18, 2024, in Hartwell, GA, Bradley Day of Anderson, SC won the American Fishing Tour Division 25- South Carolina Northwest tournament, presented by American Bass Anglers. Amidst chilly conditions, forty-four anglers participated in the event at the Gum Branch Tournament Facility near Hartwell, GA. Bradley’s five-bass haul weighed an impressive 23.59 lb, bolstered by a substantial 5.98 lb kicker fish. Bradley earned a first-place plaque and $801 in cash. Additionally, he claimed the first-place option pot, adding $240 to his winnings for a total of $1041.

Following closely behind, Brody Manley of Pickens, SC, secured second place with a commendable five-fish limit totaling 19.55 lb. Brody’s haul included a notable 5.59 lb largemouth bass. He received a second-place plaque $519 in prize money, and an extra $160 from the second-place option pot, bringing his total earnings to $679.

Justin Raines of Easley, SC, took third place, delivering a hefty five-fish catch weighing 18.58 lbs. Notably, Raines reeled in the day’s largest fish, tipping the scales at 6.69 lb. His third-place finish earned him $252, and he received an additional $220 and a plaque for landing the big fish.

Tallis Morrison of Royston, GA secured fourth place with a five-fish limit weighing 18.48 lb, which included a 4.87 lb anchor fish. Morrison took home $202 in cash for his performance.

Parker Guy of Ocilla, GA claimed fifth place with a five-fish limit weighing 17.83 lb, earning $166 in cash.

In sixth place was Lane Clark of Anderson, SC, whose solid five-fish catch weighed 17.40 lb, resulting in a $130 cash prize.

Justin Tingen of Moore, SC secured the seventh-place spot with a five-fish bag weighing 17.05 lb, featuring a 4.30 lb kicker fish, earning him $86.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship.
