Dane Hunter Wins at Lake Allatoona

On March 9, 2024, at Lake Allatoona, the American Fishing Tour Division 125 event was held, featuring top anglers from the region. Dane Hunter, a participant from Cartersville, GA, emerged victorious in this competitive fishing tournament. Hunter secured the first-place position with a total weight of 14.76 pounds, including a significant 5.62-pound Largemouth bass, which was also recognized as the Biggest Bass of the tournament. His victory awarded him a first-place plaque, a cash prize of $723.00, and an additional $100.00 for being the highest-placing TowBoat US Lake Allatoona Member.

Michel Purvis, hailing from Canton, GA, claimed the second place with a total catch weight of 14.65 pounds, featuring a notable 3.60-pound Spotted bass, earning him a $545.00 prize. The third position was secured by Jonathan Farmer of Jasper, GA, with a catch totaling 12.90 pounds, for which he received $187.00. The event showcased commendable performances by other participants, including Wayne Issac, Sal Pinto, and Jason Allen, who completed the top six rankings.

Additionally, a special mention was made for Jason Allen, who was awarded the Picasso Lures Tackle Package valued at $100.00, recognizing his achievement as the first contestant not to win a cash prize.

The American Bass Anglers Division 125 expressed gratitude to its local sponsors for their support.
