Roger Gonzalez Wins on Kissimmee Chain of Lakes

Kissimmee FL, 03/09/2024, Out of Lakefront Park on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes – Roger Gonzalez clinched victory at the American Fishing Tour Division 21 event held on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes 03/09/2024. The event, part of the American Fishing Tour, attracted top anglers from the area, all competing for cash and important divisional and national points.

Roger Gonzalez topped the leaderboard with a total catch of 22.71 pounds, including a standout 6.42-pound bass. This impressive haul earned him first place and a cash prize of $709.00.

Micah Silverman secured second place with a total weight of 20.70 pounds, including a notable 6.15-pound catch. For second place, Micah received a $444.00 cash prize.

In third place, Robello Gonzalez showcased his skill with a total catch of 18.26 pounds, and he was awarded a $177.00 cash prize.

With a total catch of 15.67 pounds, Mason Boylan took fourth place and was awarded a $137.00 cash prize.

This “full field” tournament also saw strong performances from other anglers, including fifth-place James Topmiller, sixth-place Bryan Moore, and seventh-place Bradley Watson. Their efforts added to the competitive spirit of the event.

Roger Gonzalez caught the tournament’s biggest bass, a 6.42-pound fish, earning him a separate accolade and a $620.00 cash bonus.

The next tournament in this division is scheduled for 04/06/2024 at Kissimmee Chain—Lakefront Park. The Toho Marina in Kissimmee, FL, will serve as the launch site. These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
