Kneece and Morris Secure Victory on Hartwell

Hartwell, GA – March 10, 2024: Battling blustery conditions, twenty-six resilient teams converged for the American Bass Anglers Teams Division 8 tournament along the Georgia-South Carolina Line, launching from the Gum Branch Tournament Facility in Hartwell, GA. Amongst the contenders, Don Kneece and Phil Morris emerged triumphant, showcasing their angling prowess.

Kneece and Morris, both retired, showed off skills with a five-bass haul, tipping the scales at 18.85 lb, featuring a notable 5.29 lb kicker fish. Their performance earned them not only bragging rights but also a handsome cash prize of $1310.

In a closely contested race for second place, Mike Strickland and Cory McGaha secured the position with a commendable five-fish limit weighing 18.03 lb, highlighted by an impressive 6.03 lb largemouth bass. Their efforts were rewarded with $730 in prize money.

The third-place honors went to Noah Scott and Nathan Price, whose five-fish haul totaled 16.49 lb, anchored by a 5.20 lb largemouth bass, earning them $430 in cash rewards.

Daryl McClellon and Corey Buckner clinched the fourth-place spot with a solid five-fish limit weighing 15.67 lb, securing $290 in cash winnings.

Colton Wilson and Michael Wilson rounded out the top five with a five-bass haul weighing 15.15 lb, including a 3.82 lb kicker fish, earning them $150 in cash prizes.

The tournament’s Biggest Bass accolade was claimed by Mike Strickland and Cory McGaha with their impressive 6.03 lb catch, netting them an additional $260 in cash rewards.

Looking ahead, the next tournament in Division 8 is scheduled for April 14, 2024, at R. B. Russell, launching from the Hwy. 72 ramp in Elberton, GA.
