Stalnaker Take Oconee Win

Brad Stalnaker from Eatonton, GA, secured first place at the AFT D72 tournament on Lake Oconee, held on April 13, 2024. Stalnaker’s haul of five bass weighed in at 17.57 pounds, earning him the first-place trophy and $801 in prize money, with his largest bass weighing 4.96 pounds.

Mike Cleveland of Jackson, GA, captured second place with a total weight of 16.22 pounds, including a 4.88-pound bass, which brought him the second-place trophy and $548.

Pete Cook of Milner, GA, clinched the Big Bass trophy and an additional $490 in cash with a 5.94-pound catch, marking the heaviest bass of the tournament.

The event attracted 49 anglers, competing for a total payout of $2,401 across eight places. Post-competition, three $50 cash prizes were awarded through a draw to Travis Clay, Anthony Widener, and Clifford Avery, and Randy Woodham won a $50 gift card to Sugar Creek Marina.

Special acknowledgments were given to Danny Taylor and Bob Clark for their assistance with morning registrations, boat checks, and fish weighing.
