Nix & Webb Take Team Win on Russell

Michael Nix and Randy Webb emerged as the Division 8 Georgia-South Carolina Line Team Tournament winners held on Lake Russell. The event occurred on April 14, 2024, with 27 teams launching from the Highway 72 ramp between Elberton, GA, and Calhoun Falls, SC. At the end of the competition, 26 teams returned with full five-fish limits.

Nix and Webb clinched first place with a total weight of 18.60 lbs for their five bass, which included a 4.58 lb. largemouth, earning them the top prize of $1,360.

Close behind in second place were Myles Chasteen and Logan Grimes, who weighed in at 13.44 lbs, with their largest bass weighing 3.30 lbs, winning $755.

Third place went to Garrett and Eran Bowers, with a combined weight of 13.35 lbs, taking home $460.

Donald Miller and Mike Guilbeau secured fourth place with a total of 13.28 lbs, highlighted by a 4.46 lb. bass, receiving $300.

Rounding out the paid positions, Mike Strickland and Corey McGaha finished fifth with 11.23 lbs, earning $150.

The Biggest Bass award went to the tournament winners, Nix and Webb, for their 4.58 lb. largemouth, adding another $270 to their winnings.
