Dalton Tankersley Wins at Chickamauga Two-Day

Hixson, TN – May 19, 2024 – Dalton Tankersley from Blue Ridge, GA, claimed victory at the American Fishing Tour Division 125 event at Chickamauga Lake, held on May 18-19, 2024. This event, part of the American Fishing Tour, attracted top anglers from the area competing for cash prizes and crucial points.

Dalton Tankersley led the competition with a total catch of 38.88 pounds over two days. This impressive performance earned him the first-place trophy and a cash prize of $1,570.

In second place, Alex Prince from Blue Ridge, GA, secured his spot with a total weight of 31.86 pounds, including the tournament’s largest fish. He took home a prize of $1,008.

Larry Hollingsworth from Acworth, GA, showcased his skill by landing a total catch of 27.53 pounds, earning him third place and a prize of $476.

Other anglers also performed well in the tournament, including Mitchell Grimsley, Nick Treadwell, and Sal Pinto, who all placed in the top six and contributed to the event’s competitive spirit.

Colin Steele caught the tournament’s biggest bass, an impressive 8.62-pound fish, earning him a special accolade and a $400 bonus.

These anglers are earning valuable points towards the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the AFT Championship.
