Michael Pate, an accomplished angler from Dadeville, Alabama, emerged victorious at the American Fishing Tour Division 24 tournament held at Cooters Pond Park near Prattville, Alabama, on December 7. This event, organized by the American Fishing Tour, attracted top talent from across the region, all vying for cash prizes and crucial divisional and national points.
Pate secured the top spot with an impressive total catch weighing 12.83 pounds, which included a standout 4.10-pound bass. His remarkable performance earned him the first-place prize of $425 and an additional $65 for catching the tournament’s Biggest Bass.
David Sneed of Clanton, Alabama, claimed second place with a total weight of 11.68 pounds, which featured a notable 3.97-pound bass. Sneed’s efforts were rewarded with a $212 cash prize.

These tournaments are crucial for anglers as they accumulate points toward the coveted Divisional Angler of the Year title.
