Matt Henry of Milledgeville, GA, takes the win at the AFT D72 tournament held December 21, 2024, on Lake Oconee. Matt had a five bass limit that weighed 19.60 pounds to take home the first place trophy and $813 cash. He anchored his sack with a 5.34 pound bass.
Darren Taylor of Lexington, GA, secured the second place trophy and $533 cash with a total weight of 18.04 pounds. Darren caught a 7.82 pound largemouth bass during the tournament to win the Big Bass pot of $460 cash and the Big Bass trophy.

The turnout of 46 anglers were competing for total payouts of $2,254 to seven places.

After the awards of trophies and cash payouts, two $50 bills were given as draw prizes to the anglers present. The lucky winners were Adam Windham and Aaron Batson. Barry Collins won a $50 Sugar Creek Marina gift card. A $100 custom wooden flag was won by Jay Carter, and Barry Collins won a $200 gift certificate for a custom Kissel Krafts rod.

The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA AFT National Championship tournament to be held in October 2025 on Lake Eufaula.

















These tournaments are crucial for anglers as they accumulate points toward the coveted Divisional Angler of the Year title.
