About Lake Jordan

Lake Jordan, located near Wetumpka, Alabama, is a 6,800-acre reservoir formed by the construction of the Walter Bouldin Dam on the Coosa River. Managed by Alabama Power, the lake is known for its strong populations of largemouth and spotted bass, making it a popular destination for both recreational and competitive anglers. With features such as submerged timber, creek channels, and rocky points, Lake Jordan provides ideal fishing conditions year-round. Spring pre-spawn patterns often yield large catches, contributing to the lake’s reputation as a tournament hotspot.
