Austin Moore Claims Victory at Clinton Lake

April 5, 2025 – Clinton, IL – Austin Moore of Washburn, Illinois, secured first place at the American Fishing Tour Division 39 event on Clinton Lake, hosted by American Bass Anglers. Launching from Clinton Lake Marina, Moore brought a three-fish limit to the scales weighing 11.64 pounds, averaging over 3.8 pounds per fish. For his efforts, Moore earned a payout of $451.

The tournament featured 16 competitors who faced challenging conditions, including cold temperatures, strong winds, and intermittent rain. Despite these obstacles, two anglers were able to bring in full limits consisting of three bass meeting the lake’s 16-inch minimum size requirement.

Josh Hoy secured second place with a three-fish limit weighing 9.71 pounds, earning $223 in prize money.

Dave Blume of Bloomington, Illinois, finished third with two fish totaling 7.29 pounds. Blume also earned Big Bass honors with a 4.40-pound largemouth. His combined earnings for third place and Big Bass totaled $159, including $79 for third place and $80 from the Big Bass pot.
