June 7–8, 2025 | Hartwell, GA. Blake Campbell of Anderson, South Carolina, took top honors at the American Fishing Tour Division 25 – South Carolina Northwest Two-Day Championship held June 7–8, 2025, at Lake Hartwell. Hosted from the Gum Branch Tournament Facility near Hartwell, the event brought together some of the top anglers in the region, all competing for cash prizes and valuable points toward divisional and national rankings.
Campbell led the field with a two-day total of 28.60 pounds. His performance was anchored by a 3.79-pound bass on Day 1 and a tournament-best 5.16-pound catch on Day 2. His victory earned him the first-place payout of $802, plus an additional $72 from the optional pot, totaling $874 in winnings. Campbell also secured both big bass honors for the tournament, adding a $120 bonus to his total.
Finishing in second place was Kerry Partain of Elberton, Georgia, with a strong showing of 27.45 pounds across both days. Partain landed a 3.40-pounder on Day 1 and followed it up with a 4.69-pound catch on Day 2. He took home $374 for second place, along with $48 from the option pot, for a total of $422. His consistent performance throughout the season also earned him the title of Division 25 Angler of the Year.

Brad Benfield of Demorest, Georgia, rounded out the top three with a solid two-day total of 25.88 pounds, showcasing his skill with several quality spotted bass.

Other standout performances included Matthew Benson, Paul Ham, and Russell Dobbins, who all finished in the top six and contributed to a highly competitive field.
Top 10
Anglers in this event earned critical points toward qualification for the AFT National Championship, where the top 500 anglers from across the country will compete in a prestigious three-day event. Each division’s Angler of the Year will also earn the opportunity to fish in the AFT Angler of the Year Final Round.
