Shane Autry and Rob Fortson Win at Lake Russell

June 22, 2025, Lake R. B. Russell – Shane Autry and Rob Fortson clinched victory at the Division 8- Georgia South Carolina Line tournament held at the Highway 72 ramp on June 22, 2025. The event, part of the American Bass Anglers Team Series, attracted top anglers from the area, all competing for cash and important divisional and national points.

With a heat advisory in effect for the area of Lake Russell, the tournament limit was reduced from 5 fish to 3 fish, to reduce fish mortality. Weigh-in was moved up from 3:00 pm to 1:30 pm to keep our anglers safe from the hottest forecasted part of the day.

Shane and Rob topped the leaderboard with a total catch of 9.53 pounds, featuring a nice 3.60-pound bass. Their haul earned them first place and a cash prize of $1010.

In second place were Chris Nelson and Kerry Partain securing it with a total weight of 8.77 pounds, including a notable 3.32-pound catch. For second, Chris and Kerry received a cash prize of $670.

In third place, Donald Miller and Thomas Nelson showcased their skill with a total catch of 8.29 pounds that included a 3.67-pound kicker fish.
