Daniel Weber Wins AFT Division 21 Season Opener on Lake Toho

Kissimmee, Fla. – September 6, 2025 – The 2026 American Fishing Tour Division 21 season kicked off on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, where anglers battled for cash prizes along with key divisional and national points.

Leading the way was Daniel Weber, who secured the win with a five-fish limit weighing 23.73 pounds. His efforts earned him $709. Weber said he committed to a single 200-yard stretch throughout the day, confident in the quality of fish holding there. A topwater popping frog produced most of his winning catch.

Colby Evans finished in second with a strong limit of 21.85 pounds, collecting $444.

Lonny Mead locked up third place with 19.38 pounds, good for $177, and also claimed an extra $150 for weighing the second biggest bass of the event.

In fourth place, James Topmiller brought in 19.11 pounds to earn $137, while Charles Tucker rounded out the top five with 18.08 pounds, worth $101.

The tournament’s Big Bass honors went to Craig Maxwell, whose 7.22-pounder was the heaviest fish of the day, earning him $450.

With late-summer water temperatures still hovering around 85 degrees, anglers found success working submerged grass beds, reed lines, and lily pads where bass were tucked into shaded cover. Larger fish were often found in areas with a mix of Kissimmee grass and pads.
