David Lowery Wins First Georgia Central Event of 2025

Milledgeville, GA’s David Lowery claimed first place at the American Fishing Tour (AFT) Division 72 tournament held on September 14, 2024, on Lake Sinclair. Competing against 37 other anglers, Lowery weighed in an impressive five-bass limit totaling 18.76 pounds, which earned him the top spot. Included in his winning bag was a solid 4.25-pound bass, contributing to his victory. For his efforts, Lowery took home the first-place trophy and a cash prize of $765.

Second place went to Sam Dyal of Baxley, GA, who also brought a five-bass limit to the scale. His total weight of 16.88 pounds earned him the runner-up position and a cash payout of $487. Dyal’s catch was highlighted by a 5.03-pound bass, one of the larger fish caught during the event.

The Big Bass honors resulted in a tie between Randy Bush of McDonough, GA, and Richard Carey of Watkinsville, GA, each bringing in a 5.41-pound bass. The two anglers split the $380 Big Bass pot for their efforts.
