2025 Military Team Bass Tournament Set for West Point Lake

Athens, AL. American Bass Anglers (ABA) is excited to announce the upcoming 2025 Military Team Bass Tournament, scheduled for April 30 to May 2, 2025, on the scenic West Point Lake in LaGrange, Georgia. Hosted by Visit LaGrange, this annual event invites military and DOD anglers to join in three days of competitive bass fishing.

Tournament Details

The annual Military Team Bass Tournament will launch each day from Pyne Road Park, located at 200 Kingfisher Ln, LaGrange, GA 30240. Anglers can begin practice from April 26 until 3 p.m. on April 29, giving ample time to familiarize teams with the lake’s waters.

Online registration will open on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, at 8 am.

Eligibility Requirements

The tournament welcomes active-duty military members, retirees, National Guard, Reserve, DOD civilians or contractors, and veterans with Honorable or General discharges. Teams consist of two anglers, both of whom must be ABA members in good standing and possess a valid fishing license for Georgia.

Tournament Schedule

  • April 30, 2025 – Day 1: Launch at safe light, weigh-in at 3:00 p.m.
  • May 1, 2025 – Day 2: Launch at safe light, weigh-in at 3:00 p.m.
  • May 2, 2025 – Final Day: Launch at safe light, weigh-in at 2:00 p.m.

Each team will compete for top prizes, with an optional Big Bass pot featuring a $10 per day buy-in per team and a 100% payback.
