Gainsville, GA – October 21, 2023 – A total of 62 anglers set out from War Hill Boat Ramp near Gainsville, GA for the Georgia North 125 Tournament on Lake Lanier. Impressively, 26 of these anglers returned with five-fish limits. Among them, Tyler Bagwell of Clermont, GA clinched the top spot with a total weight of 17.13 pounds.
Bagwell (left) attributed his win to his effective use of topwater and shaky head techniques. His remarkable performance earned him a well-deserved cash prize of $855.
Securing the second position was Jonathan “Sweet Cream” Farmer, who managed to bring in five fish with a cumulative weight of 16.49 pounds. Farmer credited his success to True Grit Jigs and speed cranking. For his efforts, he received a prize of $625.
Dustin Elrod claimed the third position with five fish weighing a total of 15.81 pounds. Elrod’s preferred methods included topwater and crankbaits. He was rewarded for his skill with an undisclosed prize amount.
Dustin Elrod also landed the title of the Biggest Bass of the tournament, boasting a weight of 4.75 pounds, which earned him an additional $310 in prize money.
