Become a Director for the American Fishing Tour:

Lead the way in 2025!

Are you passionate about bass fishing and want to contribute to the sport you love? The American Bass Anglers (ABA) is seeking dedicated anglers to step up as Division Directors for the 2025 season of the American Fishing Tour (AFT). With many existing divisions across the country, this is your chance to lead, organize, and grow a division in your local community.

What is the American Fishing Tour?

The AFT is a draw-format tournament series designed specifically for the weekend bass angler. Unlike other tours, the AFT is focused on providing a competitive yet accessible platform for non-professional anglers. With a low entry fee, close-to-home events, and a format that fosters community, the AFT is the perfect series for anglers who want to compete without the pressures of a professional circuit.

Key Elements of the AFT:

  • Low Entry Fee: $70 for one-day events and $140 for two-day division championships.
  • Draw Format: Bring your boat, use your boat, and non-boaters are drawn.
  • Close-to-Home Events: Compete in familiar waters within your local community.
  • Simple and Accessible: No meeting the night before the event, —just show up at the ramp at 5:00 am local time.
  • Generous Payouts: Payouts are structured at one place per seven anglers, with the top 500 at the end of the season earning an invitation to the American Fishing Tour Championship.

Why Become a Division Director?

As a Division Director, you’ll be responsible for organizing and running 6-10 local events per year. This is a unique opportunity to give back to the fishing community, help others improve their skills, and foster a competitive yet friendly environment. ABA provides full support to ensure your success, from training to resources and ongoing assistance.
