Dennis Griffith Wins on the Tensaw River


Mobile, AL. Dennis Griffith of Robertsdale, Alabama, claimed victory at the American Fishing Tour (AFT) Division 41 event held on November 16 at Cliff’s Landing Boat Launch near Bay Minette, Alabama. The event drew top anglers from the Mobile, AL area, all vying for cash prizes and critical divisional and national points.

Griffith secured the win with a total catch weighing 10.78 pounds, including a standout 3.94-pound bass. His performance earned him first place, a cash prize of $288, and an additional $40 for the Big Bass of the event.

Gary Criswell of Molino, Alabama, took second place with a total weight of 10.09 pounds, earning $104 in prize money.

About the American Fishing Tour
Anglers in the AFT earn valuable points throughout the season toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. Division champions qualify to compete in the annual AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. Additionally, the top 500 anglers across all divisions earn the opportunity to compete in the prestigious three-day AFT National Championship.

The 2025 AFT National Championship will be held October 4–10, 2025, at Lake Eufaula, Alabama, showcasing the best anglers from across the nation.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA AFT National Championship tournament to be held in October 2025 on Lake Eufaula.

These tournaments are crucial for anglers as they accumulate points toward the coveted Divisional Angler of the Year title. Points champions from each division will compete in the American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round, held at the AFT Championship. Additionally, the top 500 anglers from all divisions will qualify for the three-day ABA AFT National Championship, taking place next October on Lake Eufaula.
