Brad Krauss, 42, resides in the scenic Finger Lakes Region of New York with his wife Nicole and their two children, Blake (11) and Lily (24). Outside of fishing, Brad manages a collision repair center in Ithaca, NY. He’s been married for 19 years and enjoys balancing work, family, and time on the water.
Brad’s passion for fishing began early in life, though he had to teach himself through magazines like In-Fisherman and Bassmaster and by watching every fishing show he could find. His tournament journey started in his mid-20s with local catfish derbies—where he won a boat and motor package that ignited a deeper competitive drive. In 2020, Brad entered the BFLs as a co-angler and bought his first bass boat in 2021 to fish from the front deck. His competitive highlights include a 3rd place finish in the 2023 ABA Open Series on Cayuga Lake and a 2nd place finish (with Big Bass honors) in the 2024 ABA AFT on the same lake.
While Brad doesn’t claim a single favorite technique, his versatility shines. From scoping smallmouth on alewives, flipping largemouth in milfoil, to cranking rocky flats—his home waters of New York offer the perfect training ground to develop a well-rounded skill set. The competitive nature of tournaments keeps him sharp, but at the heart of it all, he just loves being on the water.
